June 10-12, 2026, Kunshan, Jiangsu – The 10th International Hydrogen Energy & Fuel Cell Vehicle Congress (FCVC 2026) was held at the Huaqiao International Expo Center in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. ANDRITZ Kaiser took part in the event, presenting its latest technological achievements in precision stamping for metal bipolar plates to the global hydrogen industry and drawing wide attention from attending guests and industry professionals.

Themed "A New Chapter for Hydrogen: Coordinating the Full Chain to Cultivate Future Industries," this year's congress brought together more than 200 domestic and international companies.

TOP-LINE KSH2 Servo Press for Metal Bipolar Plates

During the exhibition, ANDRITZ Kaiser focused on its TOP-LINE KSH2 series servo press. Covering press forces from 900 to 3,800 tonnes, the series has been developed since 2021 on a proven platform specifically for the precision forming of metal bipolar plates. With an ultra-rigid frame (deflection of less than 0.04 mm/m) and a proprietary slide tilting compensation system, the KSH2 overcomes core industry challenges such as springback control for ultra-thin stainless steel and titanium sheets and consistency in high-speed continuous production. In a separate project for a leading European bipolar plate manufacturer, the KSH2 raised the production rate from 33 to 48 plates per minute while lifting the qualification rate from 65% to 100% (as reported by the customer). ANDRITZ Kaiser has also worked with ANDRITZ Soutec, the laser welding specialist within the ANDRITZ Group, to build a continuous stamping and welding line that welds one plate per second and runs stably at 60 plates per minute with a high qualification rate — reflecting an industry-leading level of mass production efficiency for metal bipolar plates.

Deployment in the Chinese Market

At the end of March 2025, the first ANDRITZ Kaiser metal bipolar plate press line in China passed its customer acceptance test and went into operation in mid-April of the same year, marking the successful deployment of the technology in the Chinese market. ANDRITZ Kaiser will continue to build on its commitment to the Chinese market, advancing the localisation of key components while maintaining core German manufacturing quality, so as to serve local customers with a better price-performance ratio and shorter delivery times and to contribute to the scaled development of the hydrogen industry.
